Security at Webloogix

You are trusting us with your site, your customers, and sometimes the keys to your hosting account. This page describes, in plain terms, how we look after all of that, and how to reach us if you think something is wrong.

How We Protect Your Project

Encrypted Connections

Every site we build runs on HTTPS, and we use secure connections for admin panels, databases and file transfers.

Locked-Down Access

Two-factor authentication on every account that supports it. People get access to what their task needs and nothing more.

Staging Before Live

Changes are tested on a staging copy first. Nothing goes straight to your live site without a check.

Backups Before Big Changes

We take a backup before updates, migrations and launches, so there is always a way back.

01

How we protect information

At Webloogix, we take reasonable steps to protect the information and access details shared with us while providing our services.

Client data, files, credentials and other private information are only used when necessary to provide the agreed services.

02

Access and permissions

We only request and use the level of access required to complete the work we have agreed to provide.

Unnecessary access to client accounts or systems is avoided whenever possible.

03

Backups

Backups may be maintained when they are included in the agreed project scope or maintenance plan.

Clients should maintain their own backups unless backup management has been specifically included as part of our services.

04

Security issues

If we identify a security vulnerability, suspicious activity or another security issue affecting a client project, we will inform the client and, where possible, take reasonable steps to help resolve the issue.

Security fixes or additional work outside the agreed project or maintenance scope may be charged separately.

05

Security updates

For websites using WordPress, Shopify apps, plugins, themes or other third-party software, security-related updates may be handled when they are included in the agreed project or maintenance plan.

Third-party software can change or become vulnerable without notice, so we cannot guarantee that every third-party security issue will be prevented.

06

Your responsibility

Clients are also responsible for keeping their accounts and access details secure.

Clients should use secure passwords, avoid sharing login credentials unnecessarily and inform Webloogix if they notice suspicious activity or unauthorized access.

Webloogix is not responsible for security issues resulting from compromised client accounts, exposed credentials or unauthorized access caused by the client or someone with access to the client account.

07

Third-party services

Some websites depend on third-party platforms and services such as Shopify, WordPress, hosting providers, plugins, apps and APIs.

Webloogix does not directly control the security of these third-party services. If a security issue originates from a third-party provider, we will inform the client and, where possible, assist with resolving or reducing its impact.

08

Report a security issue

If you notice a security vulnerability or suspicious activity on the Webloogix website, please contact us with the details so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
